The Quantum Academy will engage high school students and teachers in quantum science to provide K-12 students with early exposure to the field. The goals of the Academy include 1) laying out evidence-based quantum science learning goals for high school level, 2) providing introductory level instruction to quantum science that increases awareness of the discipline and career opportunities in the field, 3) identifying talented students and supporting their pursuit of quantum science through summer training, and 4) broadening participation in quantum science education and career development among student aspiring to careers in STEM. The Academy will accomplish these goals through designing and administering five programs: Digital Presentations, Summer Teacher Professional Development, Quantum Curricular Modules, Youth Quantum Camps, and Summer Quantum Internships. These programs will be phased in over the course of the five-year project period.
